Lucy Forrest

Having graduated with a BSc in optometry from Aston University, Lucy completed her professional training at Rabbetts Opticians in Portsmouth and qualified as an optometrist in 1990. She worked in a variety of private practices, and started working for Malcolm Smith in Drayton soon after qualifying, before working at his Leigh Park practice which she subsequently took over. She took over the practice in Drayton in 2004 when Malcolm retired.

Lucy has also always enjoyed hospital work, and spent 7 years spending a day a week at Great Ormond Street Hospital, working with babies and children in the cataract clinic. She has also had a long association with QA hospital, and continues to do occasional paediatric clinics there.

She lives in Emsworth with her husband and 2 teenage children. Away from work, she enjoys choral singing, walking and cycling, and is a keen cook.
