OCT Scans
OCT scans offer our optometrists a chance to see beneath the surface of your retina to assess your eye health in more detail. We recommend that patients over the age of 25 years and those with a family history of eye conditions should have an OCT scan to provide baseline measurements of their personal eye structure. This can allow the optometrist to identify many eye conditions well earlier than was possible with older techniques and allow much more accurate referrals to secondary care reducing anxiety and waiting times.
